 | The Workshop on Climate Change and Water Resources was convened on September 23–24 at the Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Ayazağa Campus, in collaboration with Istanbul Technical University and the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA).
The workshop focused on the impacts of climate change, the critical importance of sustainability, and the preservation of national water resources. A range of challenges were discussed, and solution-oriented approaches were proposed by participating experts. The Workshop on Climate Change and Water Resources, jointly organized by Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA), was held at the Süleyman Demirel Cultural Center on the ITU Ayazağa Campus. The opening ceremony of the workshop, which took place on September 23–24, was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Aydın, Chair of the TÜBA Working Group on Environment, Biodiversity and Climate Change, TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker, General Director of the State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) Prof. Dr. Lütfi Akca, and Governor of Istanbul Mr. Ali Yerlikaya.
